Miss. Ponzi Cases Aimed At BigLaw A Slow Road For Victims
Arthur Lamar Adams, through his company Madison Timber Properties, LLC, operated a $100 million Ponzi scheme that defrauded hundreds of investors. On May 9, 2018, he pleaded guilty to the federal crime of wire fraud. On October 30, 2018, U.S. District Judge Carlton W. Reeves sentenced him to a term of imprisonment of 235 months.
On June 22, 2018, Judge Reeves appointed Alysson Mills to serve as Receiver of the estates of Arthur Lamar Adams and Madison Timber Properties, LLC. The Receiver’s job is to recover money and assets for the benefit of defrauded investors.
The Receiver is independent. Nevertheless, she and her office work with federal and state authorities toward their shared goal of justice for victims.
This website will serve as a source of information on the Receiver’s progress and on any relevant federal or state proceedings. See press releases regarding this website here (Securities & Exchange Commission) and here (Mississippi Secretary of State).
If you have questions, comments, or information that will lead to the recovery of money or assets, please contact the Receiver directly:
