Federal proceedings – 20-cv-232

The Receiver filed a complaint against Jon Seawright and others on December 18, 2018. You can follow that case here:  Federal proceedings – 18-cv-866

On November 3, 2019,  Seawright filed a Chapter 7 petition for bankruptcy. By filing his petition for bankruptcy, Seawright triggered an automatic stay of litigation against him pursuant to 11 U.S.C. § 362.

On February 7, 2020, the Receiver filed an adversary complaint against Seawright that objects to the discharge of his debt to the Receivership Estate on the basis that the debt flows from his false pretenses, false representations, and fraud. On March 16, 2020, the Receiver moved to withdraw the reference—that is, to transfer the complaint from the bankruptcy court to the district court.

The following are select filings (most recent first) from the adversary proceeding Alysson Mills vs. Jon Darrell Seawright, No. 20-ap-11 (Bankr. S.D. Miss.); No. 20-cv-232 (S.D. Miss.):
